MEET THE TEAM: Laura LeeLun
In our "Meet the Team" series we've asked each of our advisory board and founding team members a series of questions so you can get to know them.
Today we'd like to introduce advisory board member, Laura LeeLun.
Here's what she had to say:
Hi I'm Laura. I'm a comedy writer, screenwriter, and satirist. Though I physically reside in Chicago, sadly, my true home is found on Twitter @laleelun.
What's something you've been reading/watching/listening to lately that you're loving?
I'm currently obsessed with the French sitcom, "Call My Agent." It reminds me of Extras in that real life French movie stars all play heightened versions of themselves and seem to be having a blast.
What is something you're working on right now (or recently) that you're really pumped about?
I'm working on a "non-Christmas holiday romcom" with a writing partner. It's the first time I've tried co-writing a script and we're having a lot of fun.
Any new pandemmy hobbies?
Currently obsessed with paint-by numbers. I feel guilty since I'm supposed to be a "creative," but it's very relaxing.
What made you want to get involved with Trident?
I honestly just miss making things with other writers/performers from our community.
What are you most excited about when it comes to Trident?
I'm excited to meet others in the network, explore how we can help each other achieve our goals, and see how everyone has adapted to creating in "these challenging times."
What is something you wish more people knew about you? A fun fact or secret talent?
I know how to tap dance, though have not been practicing lately due to my reluctance to alienate my downstairs neighbors.
